New Toys.., er, Tools
Wanted one of these foam cutting systems from Hot Wire Foam Factory since we started working with Styrofoam... we've quickly tired of cleaning all the little white styrofoam beads or pink foam powder from all over our shop, clothing, skin, hair, dog, fish, neighbors... Hopefully this will help.
Four different tools and no cutting table to make straight line cuts, maybe not the wisest investment but time will tell. Of the two of us I'm the pessimist. We'll see.

ReplyDeleteIt is the pro model 4 in 1 kit with the variable heat pro power station. It is their K47V Model. The jury is still out on whether the variable heat is worth the extra money. So far we've had to crank it up to high to cut the Styrofoam most haunters would use and the thing has no on/off indicator light.
DeleteRight now, my Hot Knife and soldering iron are all I need while I wait for some enterprising young man like you to try out new things and let me know how well they work!
ReplyDeleteWell, not sure I'm enterprising and know I'm not young Jim but the reviews from other haunters highly recommended it. Like I said, "we'll see" I'm not one for holding back my opinion when I plunk down the cash for something.
DeleteBut if you want a bevelled edge...?
ReplyDeleteYour not going to get a good beveled edge unless you get the table cutter. They make several different models. It's too hard to hold the tools steady, they are more for sculpting and engraving.
